It cannot guarantee a job

Certification choice
The best certification is the one that matches the job you are applying for and gives you a structured way to prove job-ready skills. For cloud beginners, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are credible starting points for different goals.
If your goal is cloud support or junior cloud operations, start with a cloud certification plus hands-on practice. If your goal is general IT support, combine cloud fundamentals with networking, troubleshooting, and customer-support evidence. A certificate helps open the conversation; your scenarios and explanations help win the interview.
| Certification | Good for | Official facts to know | Job-readiness gap to fill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer | Cloud support, junior cloud operations, Google Cloud focused roles | Google lists no prerequisites, recommends 6+ months hands-on Google Cloud experience, and says the exam is 50-60 multiple choice/multiple select questions. | Hands-on labs, IAM decisions, monitoring, CLI, deployment, and troubleshooting notes. |
| AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner | General AWS literacy, sales/support adjacent roles, early AWS career exploration | AWS says the exam validates overall AWS Cloud knowledge independent of a specific job role and includes 50 scored questions plus 15 unscored questions. | It is foundational, so add projects or move to an associate technical cert after role choice. |
| Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 | Azure fundamentals, Microsoft ecosystem teams, career starters | Microsoft says AZ-900 is a common starting point toward an Azure career and covers cloud concepts, Azure architecture/services, and management/governance. | Add labs that show identity, resource groups, governance, cost awareness, and monitoring. |

Google explicitly recommends real-world experience before the Associate Cloud Engineer exam. That is a useful signal: practise with real tools, not only flashcards.
AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud can all be useful. The better choice depends on target roles, local employers, and your current skills.
